City of Albuquerque District 6 Coalition of Neighborhood Associations, representing seventeen (17) neighborhoods in City Council District 6, close to 30,000 registered Albuquerque voters and more than 100,000 neighbors and district employees. The geographical area of the District 6 Neighborhood Coalition includes Albuquerque's southeast side and northeast side, between University and Eubank with the International District, and from South of the Sunport at Mesa del Sol and all the way across UNM to Lomas.
The District 6 Neighborhood Coalition organizes and empowers all 17 neighborhoods in City Council District 6, which include Campus Neighborhood Association, Clayton Heights/Lomas del Cielo Neighborhood Association, Elder Homestead Neighborhood Association, Fair West Neighborhood Association, Highland Business and NA Incorporated, La Mesa Community Improvement Association, Mesa Del Sol Neighborhood Association, Nob Hill Neighborhood Association, Parkland Hills Neighborhood Association, Siesta Hills Neighborhood Association, South Los Altos Neighborhood Association, South San Pedro Neighborhood Association, Southeast Heights Neighborhood Association, Trumbull Village Neighborhood Association, University Heights Neighborhood Association, Victory Hills Neighborhood Association, and Yale Village Neighborhood Association.
The District 6 Neighborhood Coalition is currently addressing the homelessness, drug use, and dirty needles in our neighborhood Parks, helping to champion more lighting throughout our neighborhoods that have poor lighting or lighting scarcity, reducing the amount of Vacant and Abandoned Properties in our neighborhoods, keeping our Whittier Elementary and Hawthorne Elementary schools open, helping a neighborhood with property acquisitions for a day shelter, and addressing speeding and traffic issues in our neighborhoods. The District 6 Neighborhood Coalition serves our children, our families, and all of our neighborhoods.
The District 6 Neighborhood Coalition meets bi-monthly at a community locale in one of the 17 represented neighborhoods. The meetings are open to the public. Details of meeting dates and agendas can be found by clicking on the button below:
